SUBJECT: Peacemaking Ministry Loans

GUIDELINES: The Southeast Unity Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit association, provides limited funds, when available, on a loan basis for those ministries in its region which cannot otherwise immediately pay for Peacemaking consultation.

These funds shall be limited to the cost of expenses for the visiting consulting team (including travel, lodging, food, and supplies); plus consultation fees of $150.00/per day for a maximum of two consultants.

The total amount of the Regional Loan to the church shall not exceed $3,000.00. These funds are to be paid back to the Southeast Region's Treasury in regular monthly installments, at a minimum of $200 per month beginning the first of the month following the date of agreement, and to repay the entire loan within fifteen months of the date of the contract.

At the discretion of the Regional Representative, the $3,000.00 amount may be increased.

PROCEDURES:

1. The ministry seeking a loan for Peacemaking needs to contact the Regional Representative.

2. The Regional Representative will send the ministry a copy of the "Contractual Agreement for Peacemaking Consultation".

3. The ministry will complete and submit copies of the signed contract to BOTH the regional consultant(s) with whom they make the consultation agreement and to the regional representative.

4. The Regional Representative will send the original of the approved agreement to the Southeast Region's Administrative office and a copy to theSoutheast Region's Treasurer. No checks can be issued by the Administrative Office without signed, written approval.
