Music in Ministry

21st Century Ministry Enhancement

Sponsored by Unity Worldwide Ministries Eastern Region and Southeast Region
Presented by Reverend Richard Mekdeci

Music has been part of the worship experience since ancient h  umans would drum and dance around a fire giving thanks for a
good harvest. Music is unifying. It opens hearts, and sets the mood for what’s coming next. Music can raise or lower the
energy of your service in a matter of seconds. Most importantly though, music in ministry supports the Sunday message.
Whatever the size of your music ministry, there is a musical solution for you. Learn where you can easily access the
storehouse of contemporary songs, sheet music, and performance tracks as well as choral music, from our ever-growing body
of positive “posi” music.

Technology has presented us with opportunities to reach people in new ways. Richard will also share some tips about copyright
and licensing when applied to church settings as well as live streaming and archiving. Time allowing, other topics may include,
creating an order of service that keeps live stream viewers tuned in, and the Music Director/Minister relationship.
